2nd European Biblio/Poetry Therapy Conference 2025: Exploring new dimensions of biblio/poetry therapy, 2 – 4 October 2025

                          Call for papers is now open!

We are inviting interested authors and groups to submit their abstracts to the 2nd European Biblio/Poetry Therapy Conference held on 2 – 4 October 2025 at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. The overall theme of the 2025 conference is Exploring new dimensions of biblio/ poetry therapy. The event provides an excellent opportunity to discuss topical theoretical and practical issues and to interact with researchers and colleagues across Europe in the fields of biblio/poetry therapy.

Types of Contributions
You are invited to submit abstracts for presentations (30 min) and workshops (90 min).  Abstracts must be written in English within the scope of the below topics. All submissions are subjected to a blind-review process.

Submissions are welcome in various topics including:

  • – biblio/poetry therapy in new creative settings
  • – biblio/poetry therapy approaches to supervision and counselling
  • – biblio/poetry therapy in educational and pedagogical contexts
  • – communal biblio/poetry therapy
  • – cooperation between different expressive arts therapies
  • – cultural wellbeing, biblio/poetry therapy in multicultural contexts
  • – nature writing and ecotherapy, biblio/poetry therapy
  • – new technologies (AI, virtual therapy techniques) in biblio/poetry therapy
  • – play, games and gaming in biblio/poetry therapy
  • – reading and writing in psychotherapy

The maximum length of the abstract text is 250 words (excluding the title and author details). If your abstract contains tables or figures, they are submitted as an attachment in a PDF file. Kindly note that the accepted abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts before the conference.

The last day for abstract submission is Wednesday 30 April 2025 at 23:59 (UTC+2).
